Mentorship Programme

The BHJS Mentorship Programme provides an opportunity for students to shine beyond the classroom and learn from their alumni from different industries. It is a structured partnership between a BHJS graduate (Mentor) and a student (Mentee). The Mentors are our BHJS Alumni who share the value of mentoring and are willing to serve on a voluntary basis. The Mentees are our senior form students of BHJS who share the value of mentoring and are willing to make self-initiated efforts to widen their perspectives and enhance their personal growth. The programme includes two parts, namely ‘Life coaching’ and ‘Work placement’.

Life Coaching

Life coaching is a one-year programme. During the year, the Mentors and Mentees are expected to maintain a steady stream of communication which may include face-to-face contact, emails, or phone calls. As mentorship is a personal relationship, most activities will be designed and organized by mentoring groups independently.

Work Placement

Work placement lasts for three weeks, providing 3-5 days of hands-on working experiences for groups of mentee. Students gain fruitful experience from mentors working in various professions such as doctors, barristers, businessmen, financial investors, public relations, etc.
