Our World Scholar’s Cup Team members delivered a stellar performance at the World Scholar’s Cup Seoul Global Round 2026, hosted at Korea University from July 23 to 28. Competing among top delegates from around the globe, every participating Jubilee team earned qualification for the prestigious Tournament of Champions (ToC) at Yale University!

Outstanding Academic Highlights

• Cheuk Yu Julius Chow and Ka Wan Charlene Chan captured the 6th Place Trophy out of 400 competing teams in the Junior Division Team Writing competition. 
• Out of over 1,200 scholars, Julius Chow secured 11th place overall and Charlene Chan achieved 12th place in individual writing. 
• Chin Cheung Thomas Chik earned 1st place in the BarelyOld Scholar category, taking home top honors for receiving the highest score among the youngest scholars competing in the Senior Division.
• All three BHJS teams earned qualification for the Tournament of Champions alongside multiple Gold and Silver awards across Debate, Scholar's Bowl, Collaborative Writing, and Challenge subjects. 

Beyond intense debate rounds and written challenges, our scholars enriched their global perspective through two memorable cultural excursions:

• The Demilitarized Zone (DMZ): A profound and sobering visit to the border dividing North and South Korea. Standing at the threshold of world history offered our scholars an unmatched, real-world lesson in geopolitical tensions, modern history, and the enduring hope for peace.
• Sungkyunkwan University: An inspiring tour of South Korea’s oldest university (founded in 1398). Scholars explored historical Joseon Dynasty Confucian lecture spaces alongside cutting-edge modern facilities, providing a unique look into Korea’s rich academic heritage and higher education culture.

We extend our warmest congratulations to all participating Jubileans for representing our school with intellectual brilliance, exemplary sportsmanship, and teamwork on the international stage. We look forward to cheering them on as they prepare for the Tournament of Champions!
