BHJS Parent Academy

Parent Education Framework

Every parent hopes their children will grow up healthy, confident, and well-prepared for the future. To better support parents in nurturing their children, the Education Bureau launched the “Parent Education Framework (Secondary School)” on 28 May 2024. This framework provides schools with clear guidelines for designing parent education activities and helps parents systematically equip themselves with essential knowledge and skills.

The framework covers four core strands:

  • Strand 1: Understanding of Adolescent Development
  • Strand 2: Promotion of Healthy, Happy and Balanced Development of Adolescents
  • Strand 3: Promotion of Parents’ Physical and Psychological Well-being
  • Strand 4: Fostering Home-School Co-operation and Communication

About BHJS Parent Academy

In line with the Education Bureau’s framework, Bishop Hall Jubilee School established the “BHJS Parent Academy” to provide parents with comprehensive and structured opportunities for lifelong learning. Through seminars, workshops, the parent support group, and the online self-learning platform, the Academy aims to help parents develop effective parenting strategies and strengthen confidence in supporting their children’s growth.

Our objectives are to:

  • Understand adolescent development and enhance communication with children.
  • Promote students’ balanced growth in academics, emotions, social life, and well-being.
  • Support parents’ physical and mental well-being through self-care strategies.
  • Support parents in understanding secondary school students’ needs and foster effective collaboration with the school

BHJS Parent Academy embraces the vision of the Education Bureau’s Parent Education Curriculum Framework and integrates its core principles into the school’s parent education initiatives, supporting parents to play a more proactive, effective, and supportive role in their children’s growth journey.
