Visiting the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital
2023-11-16

On October 18, 2023, our school principal, Ms. Law, Career teacher, Mr. Li, and eight students from Form 5 were honored to be invited by our distinguished alumni, Mr. David Lui, to visit the Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. This rare opportunity allowed us to explore the inner workings of the hospital and observe the daily operations of various medical professions.

Before the visit, the participants had the privilege of listening to insightful presentations from different medical specialists, including doctors, nurses, physical therapists, pharmacists, nutritionists, and human resources managers, etc. During the visit, our students were brought to different function rooms including the A&E room, Occupational Therapy room, Radiation Therapy room, Pharmacy, and so on. Our students enthusiastically seized every opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the medical industry through asking questions, keen observation, and active participation in the activities. In the final session, one of our students even shared their inspiring reflections with the other participants.

Following the event, our students shared their reflections with Mr. Lui. In their reflections, they expressed sincere gratitude to both Mr. Lui and the hospital for organizing such valuable learning activities. They also shared their newfound knowledge, observations from the events, and their growing passion for contributing to the medical field.

In conclusion, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our alumni, Mr. David Lui, for the invitation, and to the Eastern Hospital for making the necessary arrangements. We eagerly anticipate our students' presentations, where they will share their experiences and insights with the rest of our students.
