In December 2025, Bishop Hall Jubilee School organised its annual Gospel Month under the theme “Let His Light Shine.” Through a series of school-based and community activities, students and teachers were invited to reflect on faith, life, and the call to love and serve others.
The Gospel Month began with a kick-off ceremony featuring prayer, sharing, and worship. During the first week, members of the Christian Union welcomed students and teachers each morning with hymns at the school entrance. A Religious Book & Gift Fair and a Magic Evangelistic Assembly further provided students with opportunities to explore the Christian faith through reading and interactive experiences.
In the second week, activities focused on deeper reflection. Religious Studies lessons included activities such as Drawing the Cross and interactive games, helping students at different levels reflect on Christ’s sacrifice and unconditional love. A Gospel Handicraft Workshop held during lunchtime encouraged students to reflect through creative work and to share their handmade gifts with family members or friends. A testimony video about the life of our CU teacher, Dr Lau, also helped students see how faith can bring hope and strength in real-life situations. Towards the end of the week, students visited the Hung Hom Community Living Room, sharing Christmas joy and care with sub-divided flat residents through carolling, games, and gifts.
The third week centred on pastoral care and response. A Prayer Corner was set up during lunchtime to provide a quiet space for prayer and reflection, while a Blessing Wall encouraged students and teachers to write messages of care and encouragement. Morning hymn sharing sessions further reminded the school community of God’s peace and grace.
The highlight of Gospel Month was the “Let His Light Shine” Evangelistic Assembly. Through worship, interactive activities, drama, and messages, students were invited to reflect on the meaning and direction of life. With gratitude, the school witnessed 83 students making a commitment to follow Jesus, and 67 students choosing to reconnect with their faith, bearing witness to God’s work on campus.
Gospel Month 2025 was a meaningful journey for the BHJS community, allowing faith to be lived out both within the school and beyond.
