Our School Dance Team achieved outstanding results at the 62nd Schools Dance Festival, earning one Honours Award and one Highly Commended Award with two graceful Chinese dance pieces.
The performances epitomized Eastern aesthetics. In the classical dance, as summer rain ceased, dancers in bamboo hats moved with flowing sleeves like ripples embracing fallen petals. The Han ethnic piece featured eighteen butterflies awakening at the Flower Goddess's touch, weaving a vibrant tapestry of spring. Among the 19 members, six Secondary One debutants overcame their nerves under the guidance of their seniors, delivering a captivating performance.
Behind these achievements lies a spirit of heritage. Former chairpersons Tai Yuk Yiu (6A) and 2025 graduate Yip Yi Kwan returned to assist with rehearsals and makeup, passing their passion to their juniors. Alongside the guidance of Ms. Lam, Ms. Chen, and Ms. Wong, Principal Law personally attended the event to support the students. Her presence provided immense encouragement and reflected the school’s unwavering commitment to the team’s development.
While these results are heartening compared to recent years, we encourage our dancers to remain humble and composed. By reflecting on their shortcomings, they will discover vast room for growth. We believe that with deeper dedication, our students will continue to refine their craft and reach even greater heights in the future.
