On 6th October, around thirty parents joined the Mid-Autumn Gathering organised by the BHJS Parent Support Group. The session was jointly organised by the BHJS Christian Education Committee and St John’s Cathedral Life Enrichment Centre to explore positive communication strategies, helping parents learn practical ways to build understanding and manage conflicts with their children. Parents engaged in group discussions to explore effective ways of communicating with their children. The entire session was relaxed and enjoyable, filled with lively discussions, active sharing, and a spirit of encouragement and mutual support.
To celebrate the festive occasion, our Principal, Ms Law, and the PTA Chairlady, Mrs Ho, prepared mooncakes and fruits, creating a warm environment for parents to exchange parenting insights and enjoy meaningful fellowship.
The Parent Support Group, as part of the BHJS Parent Academy, aims to build a caring and connected parent community. Regular gatherings are held throughout the year with different themes, encouraging parents to share experiences, learn from one another, and grow together in love and wisdom. Whether facing challenges in communication, study stress, or family life, parents find encouragement, support, and companionship within this community.
We warmly invite more parents to take part in future gatherings — to learn together, support one another, and help nurture a positive and loving home-school partnership for the holistic growth of every student.
