On the afternoon of October 20, F.5 students of Chinese History group from our school attended the "Remembering History, Creating the Future: A Lecture on the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression" sponsored by the Principals' Association of Kowloon City Secondary School and undertaken by Scientia Secondary School. Lin Zhen, former president of the Association of Veteran Guerrilla Fighters of the Hong Kong-Kowloon Independent Brigade of the East River Column, explained the deeds of the Hong Kong-Kowloon Independent Brigade and shared her valuable experience to more than 700 teachers and students of more than 10 secondary schools in the district. She emphasized that the victory of the Anti-Japanese War belongs to the people, and hoped that students would remain true to their original aspirations, keep history in mind, take responsibility bravely, and create the future.
