This summer, 40 Form 4 and 5 students, along with four teachers, have been to Germany and gained a deeper understanding of the charm of cities such as Frankfurt, Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg.
The tour included several commercial attractions. The students and teachers visited the Airbus and Mercedes-Benz factory and saw its production line. Seeing every step of the production process for airplanes and vehicles firsthand was awe-inspiring. They also visited EUREF Campus Berlin and learned about Germany's sustainable development initiatives.
The students were fortunate to be hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Berlin and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, where they were able to interact with representatives from these organizations and discuss local economic development and cooperation with Hong Kong and the Mainland. This was a truly unique opportunity.
During the ten-day trip, the students also visited various famous German attractions, including Königssee, the Berlin Wall, the Concentration Camp, Sanssouci Palace, Nuremberg, Hamburg's Miniature World, the East German Museum, and the Natural History Museum. Besides admiring the beautiful scenery and architecture of each city, the students also gained a firsthand understanding of German history and culture, broadening their horizons.
A special thank you to our teachers for their guidance and well-organized itinerary, which made this study tour a success. We look forward to more opportunities in the future for students to explore a broader world of learning beyond the classroom.
