The Sheng Kung Hui Education Sunday Worship for the school year 2025 took place on 14 September, 2025, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Sheng Kung Hui Holy Trinity Cathedral. This annual occasion gathered Anglican school principals, teachers, and students in a meaningful celebration of faith, unity, and commitment to holistic education.
The service began with a solemn procession of banners representing the participating schools, setting the tone for the worship that followed the traditional choral liturgy. The celebrant, The Revd Dr Richard Tsang Wing-cheong, led the congregation in prayer and thanksgiving, guiding all present to reflect on the spiritual mission of education.
The sermon was delivered by Ms. Bella Leung, Principal of Heep Yunn School, on the theme “How should Christians speak in schools?”. Ms. Leung reminded the congregation of the responsibility that Christian educators and students carry in their daily words, encouraging all to use speech that reflects truth, kindness, and faith. She emphasized that our language not only communicates knowledge but also shapes character and community.
As we continue the school year, may these insights inspire us to cultivate a culture of love, respect, and wisdom in our schools, bearing witness to God’s truth through both our actions and our words.
