In alignment with the spirit of the BHJS Scout Team, our scouts initiated a self-cooking activity designed to strengthen their culinary skills and self-management abilities. Held in the school canteen, the event featured a cooking competition among four smaller scout teams during the Saturday training and meeting session. Participants thoroughly enjoyed the experience, using the opportunity not only to practise cooking but also to exchange techniques and collaborate with their teammates. This activity promoted essential life skills that complement academic learning and support the holistic development of capable and resourceful individuals.
As part of the training, the scout leader shared cooking techniques with team members and evaluated their performance through scoring and feedback. This process reinforced the values of teamwork and discipline, which are core elements of the BHJS Scout Team’s training philosophy – I Am Not Born for Myself Alone.
