We are delighted to announce that our students obtained very good results in the Weather and Climate Quiz of the Weather Observation Competition 2019, jointly organized by the Ho Koon Nature Education cum Astronomical Centre and the Hong Kong Observatory. 

In the preliminary round of the quiz, students were required to individually answer 20 challenging multiple-choice questions, with only 15 – 30 seconds allowed for each question. One of our team members, Ho Chung Wa of 5D, received an excellent score of 19 out of 20. He was crowned Individual Champion. 

Other team members, namely Or Man Yan of 5D, Pang Roger of 5D, and Yu Ching Lok of 5E, also performed very well. Being one of the top six teams among the 46 teams in the preliminary round, our team entered the final round of the competition. Here, they were required to perform meteorological analysis and forecasts within 10 minutes based on the given scenarios and data, as well as give clear and organized presentations on their findings. They won a merit award in the final round. Congratulations!
