Despite the challenges caused by COVID-19 to our school activities, the BHJS English Debating Team continues to shine in the online debating competitions.

  

HKSSDC Term 1 Round 1

Our junior team won a debate competition against Kowloon True Light School on the motion “THW stop the production of biofuels”. 

The debaters were Ines Chan (2A), Theodore Lee (2A) and Charmaine Mak (3E). 

HKSSDC Term 1 Round 2

Our senior team members, Kitty Kwan(3E), Charity Lai (4D), and Charmaine Mak (3E), defeated Yuen Long Public Secondary School on the motion “TH prefers a society with low tax to one with extensive government services”.

Charmaine Mak also got the best speaker in the competition.

HKSSDC Term 2 Round 1

Our junior team won a debate competition against Ying Wa Girls School on the motion “TH prefers a society with low tax to one with extensive government services.”

The debaters are Marcus Law (1B), Marco Leung (1D), and Nathan Ng (2E).

Everyone worked hard and did their best, we're all proud of their performance!
